Not the most dressy to be sure, but dressy enough. They have enough height, but they are solid enough and the height is spread out in such a way that you never feel teetering. They have some coverage, but yet enough of a sandal to let your feet breathe. They show off pretty toes very nicely, too! A great shoe! I wear these shoes with just about anything, shorts, jeans with dress shirt, they look nice enough to go anywhere except a formal event. They are very comfortable with or without socks and I highly recommend them. || Quiksilver Mens Submission Great shoe! Tons of support!! This shoe has done wonders for my plantar fasciitis. It's so supportive that sometimes my ankles ache after walking correctly when I wear them - I walk so badly in other shoes! Definitely the most support of any of my earth shoes. Kind of clunky looking, but as long as I wear long pants, its not that bad. The sole is soft and seems to conform to the shape of the foot. The uppers are not stiff and confining like most canvas slip-on shoes I've worn before. I agree with others who say these feel like slippers because they are just so comfortable! I bought a pair in each color. They do run small though, so I recommend ordering the next size larger than usual -- at least that worked out perfectly for me.
